Heritage railway train fares start from around £15 per adult return on standard running days. Prices vary by event type — special events and flagship occasions such as steam galas or named locomotive days are priced accordingly.
Children travel for just £1 on selected events including half-term open days and family-focused running days. Check your chosen event listing for whether the £1 child fare applies.
On-site parking is £3 per vehicle, payable at the gate or booking office on arrival. Ample parking is available including dedicated disabled bays.
Rides on the Nottingham Society of Model Engineers' miniature railway are £1.50 per person on selected dates. All ages welcome.

The Nottingham Society of Model Engineers' ground-level miniature railway runs on selected dates at £1.50 per person. Tickets are available on the day at the miniature railway platform. All ages welcome.

Our railway is volunteer-run and ticket prices reflect the cost of operating each specific event — including locomotive preparation, fuel, crew and any special guest engines. Flagship events such as the Flying Scotsman require significantly higher operating costs.
The £1 child return fare is offered on selected family-friendly events, typically during school half-terms and bank holidays. It is not available on every open day — the event page will clearly state if this fare applies.
Train tickets and parking are payable at the booking office on arrival. We accept cash and card. Some advance-booking events may require online payment when booking.
