Special Events

Throughout the year we host themed special events — from Steam Galas and classic vehicle rallies to the Flying Scotsman and Santa Specials — which often bring extended hours and unique train services.

Special event days may have different opening hours, train timetables and ticket prices. Details are always listed on each individual event page.

Heritage railway trains run on selected open days only. Departure times vary depending on the event — the two most common timetables are shown below. Always confirm which timetable applies on the Events page.

Standard Timetable

A shorter, approximately one-hour round trip to Rushcliffe Halt. This is the most common timetable on regular open days.

Specific departure times for Standard Timetable days are confirmed on each event listing.
