Everything you need to know to make the most of your visit to the Great Central Railway Nottingham
On-site car parking is available at Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre for just £3 per visit. The car park is a short, flat walk to the station entrance, with dedicated disabled bays available close to the entrance.

Enjoy a ride on the Nottingham Society of Model Engineers' impressive ground-level miniature railway — a firm favourite with younger visitors. Rides are just £1.50 per person and run on selected dates throughout the year.
Step inside our working bus depot, home to a wonderful collection of Nottingham's historic buses and coaches, lovingly preserved and maintained by our dedicated volunteer team. Included with your visit at no extra charge.
Explore a fascinating range of museum displays showcasing the rich transport heritage of Nottingham and the East Midlands — from railway memorabilia and signage to historic artefacts and photographs spanning over a century of railway history.
Prefer to bring your own food? You're very welcome to use our picnic area and enjoy your lunch in the open air. The site is adjacent to Rushcliffe Country Park, making it a wonderful setting for a full family day out.
Clean toilet facilities are available on site, including accessible toilets for wheelchair users and visitors with disabilities, as well as baby changing facilities for families with young children.
Photography is warmly encouraged throughout the site and we'd love to see your shots — tag us on social media! Please note that the heritage centre and Rushcliffe Country Park are within a strict no-fly zone — drone flying is not permitted.
Comfortable, flat shoes are recommended. Layers are advisable as it can be breezy on the platform and in open carriages.
