About This Event
Step aboard one of our beautifully preserved 1950s and 60s heritage carriages and settle in for a relaxed 90-minute steam-hauled journey through the heart of the Nottinghamshire countryside.
Departing from Ruddington Fields Station (NG11 6JS), your train heads south along the route of the former Great Central Railway towards Loughborough — 20 miles of scenic countryside, pulled by a working steam locomotive.
Your food is freshly prepared by a local traditional fish and chip shop and ready to enjoy as you depart. Alongside your main, you'll also receive a refreshing drink and a flapjack or biscuit to finish. Menu choices on booking:

Pre-booked dogs are welcome on board (maximum one per train, must be kept off seats). Car parking is available at the station at £3, payable via the RingGo app.
Please note: Tables are arranged in fours — groups of two may be seated with another party. A limited number of private table upgrades are available for couples or small groups. Family tickets cover two adults and two children aged 3–11; children under 3 travel free but are not provided with a meal.
