There's nothing quite like a cream tea — and there are very few better ways to enjoy one than from the comfort of a heritage railway carriage, with the gentle rhythm of the tracks beneath you and a steam locomotive leading the way.
Your journey begins at Ruddington Fields station, where you'll board for a leisurely run south through the Nottinghamshire countryside. As the scenery rolls by, sit back and indulge in a freshly prepared traditional cream tea — served to your seat, complete with scones, clotted cream, and jam.
We'll make our way south to Loughborough's Brush Works, where we'll pause briefly before beginning the return journey back to Ruddington Fields — giving you plenty of time to finish that second scone.
Whether you're treating someone special or simply fancying an afternoon well spent, this is a wonderfully relaxed way to experience the magic of steam travel.
