Join us on 8 March for a full-throttle day with both railway tracks and tyres!
The day will feature up to 20 vintage Porsches ranging from 2000cc four cylinders to 5400cc V8S. The 4 wheelers will be 924s (1977 to 88), 944s (1981 to 91), 968 (1992 to 95) and 928 (1978 to 95), all with water-cooled, front-engine, Rear Wheel Drive cars with the gearbox in unit with the differential at the rear- collectively called the Transaxle models.
Tea on the Tailgates will be displaying a range of Land Rovers alongside the Porsches.
We will also be running passenger steam trains where you can journey through the Nottinghamshire countryside on a heritage DMU. Enjoy a leisurely 1-hour ride between the Heritage Centre at Ruddington and our unique station at Rushcliffe Halt on board our restored DMU railcar- departing at 11.00 and 13.00. Entry information
Entry is free for the day; however, if you are parking at the Heritage Centre, we kindly ask that you give a £3 donation for parking in the green box located in the car park or at the ticketing office by the telephone box.
The entry to see the cars on display is free, as we are a volunteer-led and not-for-profit company. This small donation would be given to help us to keep the centre open and running for families, volunteers and enthusiasts alike to enjoy.
There is something for everyone during the Road & Rail Day!
