We're excited to confirm we're expecting contractors on site in mid September to resume work on the carriage shed.
The £40,000 grant from Rushcliffe Borough Council, plus funding from East Midlands Railway Trust, LNER (GC) Trust and Friends of the Great Central Main Line will provide most of the money to finish the job. Part of our grant funding condition is the work must be finished by the end of the financial year in March 2024. However, we expect it will actually be complete towards the end of 2023 or earch 2024.
We need your help to raise a final £15,000 please. This will mean we can install roller shutter doors and complete the electrical fit out inside. Every donation will make a difference, so if you can spare £5 or £10 can we respectfully ask you to consider making a gift?
