One of the sidings into the carriage shed building at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre has been extended. In due course they will be connected to the new point which has now been laid. In the picture its the left hand siding which has been worked on. You can also see how the ground has been prepared.
The building will be large enough to hold four operational carriages protecting them from weather and vandalism, which in turn will make the business more resilient when train services return.
The carriage shed will extend out to the brick work line on the locomotive running shed on the right hand side of the picture.
