Thank you to everyone who came to our consultation event and exhibition at East Leake Village Hall yesterday.
As a reminder, we're proposing a limited expansion of our evening dining train service.
Starting at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre in Ruddington, the train would run south through Rushcliffe Halt and across Stanford Viaduct, before returning north.
Prior to introducing this service, we will be writing to the Secretary of State for Transport to formally request her consent to the operation of a single train, on no more than two evenings a week, finishing no later than 10pm.
Currently heritage passenger trains are not able to pass through East Leake station later than 6pm. Freight trains and engineering trains are able to use the line at any time.
If you'd like to have your say on the proposal, please email eastleake@gcrailway.co.uk . Following your feedback yesterday we're extending the time this inbox will operate to the 12th of October. Please make your comments by then.
Please include your name and address so we can demonstrate the area the consultation has covered. All submissions and emails will be forwarded to the Department for Transport.
Thank you again for your time and support.
