Even when we are not running rail services, the work behind the scenes here at the GCRN still continues:

Over the few weeks since Christmas, the Visitors Centre and meeting room here at the GCRN has seen a massive makeover. Gone are the days of films on a small television in the corner and a few photographs scattered on the walls.

It has been transformed into a high quality Audio Visual suite with projector, audio & I.T. facilities meaning that not only can members of the public browse the all new displays at their own leisure they can now watch a selection of Railway and Transport Heritage films on the new large screen display.

It can also be used as a lecture / training room with full capabilities to suit, including wireless internet access and with print facilities due to follow during 2014 along with much needed new flooring.

This would not have been possible without donations of equipment from places including Farnborough School Technology College and Mr Steven Nettleship amongst others.

Thanks must go to Alan Kemp, Richard Hull & Joe Kellam for assisting with the project.

As our running season progresses, the static displays will change on a regular basis as will the selection of films on show so why not visit us here at the GCRN during 2014 and take a look.

The centre is also available for hire on non-running days so if you are looking for a low cost, well equipped meeting room or training facility, why not send an email to commercial@gcrn.co.uk for more information on costs and availability.
